Experienced Carpenter / Remodeler


Danken has been remodeling kitchens and bathrooms in Bucks and Montgomery Counties since 1978. We're looking for an experienced carpenter/remodeler who takes pride in quality work, enjoys learning new skills, and wants to grow with a company that invests in its employees.
 

PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING 

We are NOT looking for an entry-level carpenter, general laborer, or someone who wants to learn the trades from scratch.

We are looking for an experienced residential carpenter/remodeler who can walk onto a jobsite and contribute immediately. 

If you have solid hands-on experience with carpentry, cabinetry, trim, drywall, tile, flooring, doors/windows, and residential remodeling, we want to talk to you.

If your experience is mainly demolition, laboring, handyman work, or helping someone else perform these tasks, this position is probably not the right fit.

 

THE JOB

You will work alongside an experienced Crew Leader on residential remodeling projects and will be expected to perform skilled work—not simply carry materials and clean up.

Typical work includes:
  • Demolition & job prep.
  • Wood framing
  • Cabinet installation
  • Interior doors and windows
  • Baseboard, casing, crown molding, and finish carpentry
  • Drywall installation and finishing
  • Tile floors and bathroom wall tile
  • Luxury vinyl and hardwood flooring
  • Kitchen backsplash installation
  • Basic residential electrical work
  • Exterior trim, siding, and occasional roofing repairs
  • Punch-list and finish work

YOU SHOULD APPLY IF: 

  • You have at least 3–5 years of full-time residential carpentry or remodeling experience
  • You are comfortable performing several different remodeling trades
  • You can measure, cut, install, and troubleshoot without constant supervision
  • You understand what quality finish work looks like
  • You can install cabinets and moldings accurately
  • You have experience working inside occupied homes
  • You keep your work area organized and clean
  • You show up reliably and on time
  • You can communicate professionally with coworkers and homeowners
  • You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

DO NOT APPLY IF: 

  • You are looking for your first construction job
  • Your experience is primarily general labor
  • You have only done occasional handyman work
  • You need someone to show you how to perform basic carpentry tasks
  • You regularly jump from company to company after a few months
  • You have difficulty getting to work consistently and on time
  • You are not comfortable being held accountable for the quality of your work

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • Craftsmanship, reliability, pace, and common sense matter here.
  • We are looking for someone who has spent enough time remodeling homes that they understand how a project goes together.
  • You should be able to look at a task, think through what needs to happen next, and get to work without waiting for constant instructions.

  • We specialize in residential kitchen and bathroom remodeling and operate established two-person remodeling crews.
